S.L.U.D.G.E

(Stop Land Use Damaging our Ground and Environment) is a committee formed by 4 Newton County residents that have been impacted by the construction and operation of an industrial waste basin and the land application of contents referred to as "sludge"

Our mission is to protect the health, safety, and prosperity of our community and raise awareness about the potential dangers of industrial waste basins and industrial waste land application. 

We aim to raise awareness, promote effective regulation, and advocate for sustainable and safer alternative practices by promoting informed decision-making and responsible waste management practices. 

We believe that an informed community is a powerful one. Together, we can work to address these concerns and protect our quality of life, property values, and natural resources.
